When distributing your music through Indiefy to get your art onto digital platforms, it is crucial that the tracks in your release meet the technical standards required by stores. This does not mean you need to record in expensive, high-end studios—technology has become far more advanced and accessible today, giving us tools that artists like The Beatles could have only dreamed of.
There are currently various hardware tools (microphones, audio interfaces, MIDI controllers) and software (DAWs, sample libraries, virtual instruments) that can help you achieve a sound that aligns with your artistic project. While we respect your creative freedom and won't dictate what your music should sound like, there are specific technical cases in which we will be unable to publish your music:

File Size Limit: Audio files must not exceed 100 MB per track.

Minimum Audio Quality: Audio files must be uploaded with a minimum sample rate of 44.1 kHz (44,100 Hz) / 16-bit resolution.

Silences in the Audio: Your tracks must not contain more than 10 seconds of silence at any point in the audio.

Track Length Limits: Tracks must have a minimum duration of 1 minute (exceptions apply for album intros/outros that fit the context) and a maximum duration of 20 minutes.

Extreme Volume Levels: Although Indiefy and streaming services normalize audio levels, your masters should follow standard loudness guidelines (such as Spotify's mastering recommendations).

Low Recording Quality: Tracks recorded directly on cell phones, distorted audio, or files with excessive background noise that hinder a clear listening experience will be rejected.
By following these technical guidelines, you can ensure a smooth digital distribution process for your music.
