UPC and ISRC identify your music recordings internationally and you can find both codes in your music dashboard. Don't worry, Indiefy provides these codes without a cost!
- ISRC stands for International Standard Recording Code is a unique code with which sound recordings and music video recordings can be identified. It consists of 12 characters and starts with a country code (two letters). Music stores use this code to identify your track and make sure that royalties and streams are distributed correctly.
- UPC stands for Unique Product Code and is basically the equivalent of a product barcode that you can find on products for instance in the supermarket, but then for your song.
You can find your UPC and ISRC code in your artist dashboard. When in your Indiefy profile, simply click Distributions > click on the release you need the codes from > Songs and you will see your ISRC code in the data provided.
To find a UPC/ISRC from a previous distributor, you have to contact them.
