What is metadata?
Metadata is all the information that is submitted with the audio file that you upload for release. This allows us to identify a track, whose it is, and who is supposed to earn from it.
This includes:
- Singers, songwriters, and/or producers
- Track name
- Track language
- Title language
- and more (all the data you submit in Indiefy's portal when you plan your release)
Here at Indiefy, you have the possibility to make changes to your metadata but this will depend on the type of account that you have.
Indiefy Basic
Please check all of your data carefully before you submit your release because, unfortunately, it is not possible to modify your metadata once you've submitted it. If you need to make changes to your release, you have to take it down and resubmit it with the correct data. (the takedown will only be available after 6 months of publication)
