We understand that switching from a PRO subscription to our Basic plan is an important decision, and we want to make sure you’re well-informed about the changes this might entail. Besides losing access to the advanced tools and features available exclusively to PRO subscribers, it’s essential to note that any releases published on stores available only under the PRO plan will be removed from those platforms. This means that once your plan changes to Basic, all your releases will only be available on three stores: YouTube Music, Spotify, and Deezer.

Indiefy offers two types of subscriptions: PRO and Basic. While the PRO plan provides artists with a set of advanced tools and broader distribution across more stores, the Basic plan is designed for artists who want a free option with limited reach. Here, we break down the main changes that occur when switching from PRO to Basic.

Access to Distribution Stores

As a PRO subscriber, your releases can be published across a larger number of digital music stores, reaching a broader and more diverse audience. However, when switching to a Basic subscription, they will only remain active on a limited number of platforms. Stores and platforms available exclusively to PRO users will no longer display your releases, which could impact the visibility of your music.

Removal of Releases in Exclusive Stores

When moving from PRO to Basic, Indiefy removes your releases from premium stores exclusive to PRO users. This means that, while your songs will still be available on main platforms like Spotify, YouTube Music, and Deezer, they may no longer be present on other specific stores that provided additional exposure and, in some cases, also generated royalty income.

Access to Advanced Tools

The PRO subscription offers access to multiple tools that help boost an artist’s career, such as support for managing official artist profiles, metadata editing and customization tools, access to detailed statistics, and a reduced royalty withdrawal threshold. When switching to the Basic plan, these benefits will no longer be available, limiting the options to maximize your music’s exposure.
